Founded in 2003, the Kathleen Whitaker jewelry brand has become synonymous with the simple, geometric 14-karat designs
of the Classic Collection, most notably the original “staple” and “sequin” studs.
In March of 2016 Whitaker launched the Stone Collection,
one-of-a-kind and limited-edition designs which combine semi-precious gemstones
with the simple geometric forms of the original collection.

Kathleen Whitaker jewelry has been worn by First Lady Michelle Obama, Tilda Swinton, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Solange,
Shailene Woodley, Rosetta Getty, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Frances McDormand, Jessica Alba and Kendall Jenner, amongst others.
It has appeared in publications including: W Magazine, Vanity Fair, Departures, Paris Vogue,
The Wall Street Journal, Wallpaper, InStyle, The New York Times and the Financial Times.

The collections are designed and made in downtown Los Angeles, and available at a range of domestic US and international retailers.

The Objects Collection builds on Kathleen Whitaker’s jewelry lines with one-of-a-kind and limited edition items
that embody the pillars of the brand.

The Objects Collection includes hollow, porcelain-cast beach rocks made in Los Angeles by local artist Remy Jaffe (1928 – 2017). The beach rocks are
subject to a singular artisanal process – cast in porcelain then burnished to create a smooth surface before being sagger fired in a beach bonfire.
The porcelain is fired with a mixture of organic materials, which creates surface variations, resulting in a likeness to the actual rocks
from which they were made. However, on touch the light and hollow stones rattle,
disclosing the fact that they are art pieces. These one-of-a-kind stones are extremely limited and rare.
Also included in the Objects Collection is a series of malachite and lapis gemstone boxes, which dovetail with Whitaker’s hallmark collections,
serving as beautiful vessels and storage for jewelry.
